A LARP cannot run without its crew. That’s a simple fact, and we believe as gamerunners that if the crew haven’t had a good time, then it’s not been a good LARP!

We have 40 spaces for crew, and these will be free of charge. We appreciate that many of you are huge fans of Dragon Age too, and we recommend that our crew play the games before attending. Take some time for yourselves. Really study the darkspawn. Like, really intently.

Our crew members will be playing a variety of roles across the game, from fellow Wardens to visiting dignitaries to the Darkspawn hordes, with all kit, makeup and prosthetics provided. There may be some things like armour and weaponry that we ask you to bring along to supplement our own supplies, but we will provide as much as possible for you.

Some NPC roles will be pre-cast as we want to make sure you have time to learn briefs, get into their shoes and bring the world of Thedas to life. Other NPC roles will be as simple as dunk yourself in goop, get made up, and go be a darkspawn spod. Be your best self.

We will provide catering, hot drinks and snacks for the crew, and expect that there will be time in the evenings for a drink or two. We will arrange breaks through the day, and do not expect you to run yourselves ragged to make the game work. We have hot showers and plumbed toilets on site, and space for you to unwind out of character if necessary.

We will need you to provide your own tents and bedding, as most are camping, but if you do need a bed for accessibility reasons, we will do our best to provide one.

If you are interested in crewing, please fill out our EOI form below, and we will be in touch. If crewing is oversubscribed, we will open a waiting list for spaces, as drop-outs do happen. If you need to drop out, tell us - even if it’s close to the game, we would prefer to know and need as many crew members as possible to bring the game to life.
